Bubble Lab – Terms of Service

Welcome to Bubble Lab! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bubble Lab software, services, and website (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our Services.

1. Overview

Bubble Lab provides two main offerings:

Self-Hosted (Open Source): The Bubble Lab core platform is available under the Apache License 2.0. You are free to use, copy, modify, and distribute it under that license.

Bubble Studio (Hosted Service): We provide a managed version of Bubble Lab that includes credential management, execution of flows from our platform, and related features. Use of Bubble Studio is governed by these Terms in addition to applicable licensing.

2. Eligibility

To use Bubble Studio, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country);
  • Have the legal authority to enter into these Terms;
  • Use the Services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

If you use Bubble Lab on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

3. Open Source Licensing

Self-Hosted: Governed solely by the Apache License 2.0. Bubble Lab contributors disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Cloud Service: These Terms govern your use of Bubble Lab Cloud, including execution of workflows, credential management, and other hosted functionality.

4. Accounts and Security

  • You must create an account to access Bubble Studio.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and all activities under your account.
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected breach.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Bubble Studio to:

  • Violate laws or regulations;
  • Upload, transmit, or execute malicious code;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services;
  • Access accounts, systems, or data without authorization;
  • Use Bubble Lab to build competing hosted services without our prior consent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of this policy.

6. Credential Management & Data

Bubble Studio securely manages integration credentials you provide. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices.

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and safety of data you connect.

We do not access your workflow data except as necessary to provide and maintain the Service.

For self-hosted users, credential and data management is entirely your responsibility.

7. Privacy

Our use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Key points:

Self-hosted deployments: Bubble Lab does not collect your data.

Cloud: We may collect limited account and usage data to operate and improve the Service.

You remain the controller of data processed through your workflows. You are responsible for compliance with applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable uptime for Bubble Studio, but availability may vary due to maintenance, updates, or outages.

No specific Service Level Agreement (SLA) is provided unless explicitly agreed in writing.

9. Payment & Fees (if applicable)

Some Bubble Studio features may require payment. Fees, billing cycles, and terms will be presented at signup or purchase.

You are responsible for applicable taxes.

Late payments may result in suspension or termination.

10. Intellectual Property

Bubble Lab core code is open source (Apache 2.0).

Bubble Lab Inc. retains ownership of all branding, trademarks, hosted service features, and proprietary components.

You may submit feedback or suggestions, which we may use without obligation.

11. Confidentiality

You and Bubble Lab may exchange confidential information (e.g., non-public technical or business information).

Both parties agree to protect such information using reasonable safeguards and not disclose it except as permitted.

Confidentiality does not apply to information already public, independently developed, or lawfully obtained.

12. Disclaimers

Self-Hosted: Provided "AS IS" under Apache License 2.0 with no warranties.

Cloud: Provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Bubble Lab does not provide financial, legal, medical, or other regulated advice. Example workflows are for demonstration only.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Bubble Lab and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Our total liability for claims related to Bubble Studio will not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bubble Lab Inc., its contributors, and affiliates from claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of Bubble Studio;
  • Violation of these Terms;
  • Violation of third-party rights.

15. Termination

You may stop using Bubble Lab at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or cause risk to others.

Upon termination, access to Bubble Studio ends immediately, but sections relating to licensing, disclaimers, and liability survive.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-product. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA.

Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts in Delaware.

If local law requires otherwise, you may have additional rights.

18. Miscellaneous

Severability: If one section is invalid, the rest remain enforceable.

Assignment: You may not assign rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale.

Force Majeure: Neither party is liable for delays caused by events outside reasonable control.

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the full agreement between you and Bubble Lab regarding the Services.
